As churches strive to remain relevant and attract younger generations, it is essential to understand their unique needs and desires. Engaging with individuals under the age of 50 requires a proactive approach that goes beyond traditional methods. Note that when you engage with younger generations; they most likely didn't grow up with a church background. They don't speak the lingo and frankly aren't even interested. They want a real and vibrant place to grow, challenge belief and engage the community. They want to do it at their pace and in their way. And that's okay. They don't have to "tarry" or fall in the floor the way the previous generations have done. They can have a real encounter in their own way.

1. Building Community

One of the most effective ways to engage with younger generations is by creating a sense of community within the church. Millennials and Gen Z value authentic relationships and a sense of belonging.
